We have for sale an Antique Triple L Logo Ball Fruit Jar with Zinc Lid, Blue Quart Size Jar
Wonderful find a true collector piece a Quart Ball Fruit Jar. The marking on this jar dates it to have been made between1900-1910, it is known as a Triple L or 3-L logo design, the loop after the last (L) looks like another (L).
These jars were molded using a two-piece manufacturing method the top threaded rim was placed onto the base while it was still molten glass. Also note this a low shoulder jar which also dates it turn of the century. The base on the jar is marked #5.
The jar is in beautiful condition, the waves you see in the glass are caused from pouring the molten glass into a cold mold, the glass cools to quickly forming a wavy look to the glass, this jar also has air bubbles and grains of sand in the imbedded in the glass.

Measures, 7” tall x 3 ¾” diameter.
Marked, Ball Mason
Condition, Very good with no cracks, light scratches on outside and base.
