1940s Adlake Railroad Lantern, N.Y.C.S, New York Central Railroad lantern (red globe)
Wonderful Red Globe Railroad Lantern made by the Adams & Westlake (Adlake) Company of Chicago ILL. The lantern was made for the New York Central Railroad.
The lantern is known as a short globe Adlake Kero lantern it has a Adlake 400 burner.

The New York Central Railroad was a railroad primarily operating in the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Was in operation from 1853 to 1968.

Circa, 1949
Marked, N.Y.C.S.
Measures, 9½” tall with handle down, 6 ¼” diameter at base.
Condition, very light wear dents on top of chimney, globe is in great condition.
