Antique Engesser Brewing Co. Wood Shipping Crate
Amazing find, this rare Engesser Brewing Co. wooden shipping crate. Engesser Brewing Co. was founded in 1856, in the small town of St. Peter Minnesota.
The Engesser Brewing Co. has a long history but is not well known, started in 1856 by German immigrants Matthew Engesser and William Seeger. The brewery produced beer until around 1942.
This crate is from a period between 1916 and 1920 when the company was reorganized, this period was a short stent, disrupted by the Prohibition Laws, the company survived Prohibition producing Near Beer and Soda Pop, and re bounded in 1933 after the end of Prohibition, only to close its doors permanently in 1942.

Measures, 18½” x 12” x 10” tall.
Condition, Rustic but solid with clear markings. No Lid.
