Antique Pair of Mexican Charro Spurs, Silver Overlay Spurs.
The Mexican word Charro means horseman or cowboy.
These are magnificent spurs made of hand forged iron with nearly all the original silver overlay remaining.
These have a large 2 ½”- 8-point rowel, with a 1½” shank and the heal band / yoke has about a 3” spread. The spurs have a 1 1/8” outer button shaped like a flower and a 1” inner strap button.
We have lightly cleaned these to show the amazing silver overlay. The leather straps are dry and fragile.
Circa, 1850-1900
Condition, very nice condition as shown in pictures, a small amount of silver lose on inside of band.
Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
