Antique Great Northern Railroad Switch Lamp #5
Wonderful find, this original untouched Switch Lamp made by Adlake for the Great Northern Railroad. The lamp is all original and untouched, minus a few layers of dust. The lamp has original lenses, a fuel tank, and a burner with a glass chimney.
The condition is very good, with a couple of chips on the enamel reflectors (please zoom in on all the pictures). Lenses are solid, with no visible chips or cracks. Rubber gaskets on the lenses are dry and worn; one lens reflector is missing its screw and has baling wire as a replacement (as shown in the pictures). Interior has suet residue; fuel tank is solid, missing the cap, and replaced with a cork at some point (as shown in the pictures); burner has a wick and a Pyrex chimney.
Markings: Adlake, G. N. #5.
Measures:10½” x 10½” x 14” tall with handle down, weighs 12 pounds.
Condition: Good vintage condition. As shown and described.
