Antique 1800s Arcade Crystal No 1 Coffee Grinder, Coffee Mill
RARE #1 Arcade Coffee Grinder made by the Arcade Manufacturing Co. of Freeport, Illinois.
Crystal No. 1 was the first glass hopper mill produced by Arcade, manufactured between 1885 and the 1890s, made of cast iron with a glass hopper,
Arcade grinders are very well-made and easy to use, which is why they are so sought after. This one is approximately 150 years old and will easily last another 150 years. Wall mounting screws are not included with the purchase.
The grinder has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out and oiled inside and out with food-safe oil. It works magnificently. The grinder is fully adjustable, so you can get the perfect grind for that perfect cup of coffee.
The fixed (cannot be removed) glass hopper is original with wonderful air bubbles and grains of sand in the glass hopper; also, the rims are rough cut and not smooth, which is quite common in antique glass. Everything appears to be in good condition; we are selling as found.

Arcade History,
Founded in 1885, Arcade Manufacturing Co. made cast iron Toys and Small Machinery for home use, especially coffee grinders. They made coffee grinders until the 1930s. In 1946, Arcade was purchased by Rockwell Manufacturing Co.

Circa: 1885-1890s
Measures: 12” tall, 5¾” wide, 9” depth.
Condition: clean condition, ready to use. Paint chipped throughout with specks of house paint on finish. Missing one rubber catch cup holder (as shown in pictures).
