We have for sale Two Antique Bronze late 19th Century Temple Bells from the Chiang Mai, Thailand region.
Wonderful bells well-crafted and have the characteristic thickened rim around the mouth of the bell. While they are missing the clappers, they have a beautiful crisp clear tone with a long sustain when tapped together. They do have the hanging bracket for the clappers new ones can be added easily.

History;
Smaller bells with clappers are often found suspended from the eves of pavilions around temples in SE Asia to signal various activities to monks and nuns including the time to rise, meditate, chant, eat and rest. Often devotees strike small bells for the forgiveness of a sin as they ascend the temple.

Made of Bronze
Measures; one is 4” tall, one is 3 ½“ tall, both are 2 ½” diameter
Condition; good vintage condition with some paint spots smaller has a tiny hole in side but does not affect the sound, both are missing clapper (please zoom into pictures).
