We have for sale an Antique Victorian Era Stag Horn & Sterling Silver Bottle Opener with Hidden Corkscrew
This is a beautiful Victorian Era Stag Horn opener featuring a cap lifter which includes a Baltimore loop seal remover on the end, twist and pull the opener to reveal a hidden corkscrew inside the stag horn handle, the silver collar on the stag handle is marked STERLING.

History;
The point or tip you see on cap lifter was designed to aid in the removal of the Baltimore loop seal. The Baltimore loop seal was invented in the 1880s by William Painter and used into the early 1900s It was a small rubber seal used as a stopper on glass bottles which had a wire bail / loop extending out of it which required a tool to ease in the removal of the stopper.

Condition; excellent with minor wear consistent with age and use.
