We have for sale an Antique 1890s Schoenhofen Brewing Co. Chicago, Edelweiss Beer, Beer Bottle Opener Corkscrew
From back in the day when you needed a corkscrew to open a beer bottle this is a 1890s advertising corkscrew made by the Williamson Co. Newark NJ the advertising is for the Schoenhofen Brewing Co of Chicago for their Edelweiss Beer. The condition of this corkscrew is fairly good the chrome plated steel is very good with only a couple minor surface rust areas the handle is fair very legible graphic on one side the other side looks like in may have been left sitting in a puddle of beer to long has a dark stain, overall a very clean piece.

Era; 1890s
Marked; Williamsons on Shank, WILLIAMSON CO. NEWARK N.J. PAT. APL'D FOR, stamped on end of wood handle.
Measures; 5.25” long, 3.625” wide at handle.
Condition; good please read description.

History:
The bottle cap wasn’t invented until the 1892 by the Crown Cork Co. Baltimore. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including beer bottles.
