We have for sale an Antique 1930s JUSTRITE Carbide Miner’s Brass Lantern, Mining Artifact.
This is a wonderful Justrite carbide mining headlamp in good clean condition with all the internal parts intact. Heyday of this type of light was from the turn of the century to the 1930s.
These were used in the coal mines for years; they are designed to hang on the front of a miner’s hat.
Marked (Patent No. 115123) it has no smell from the carbide and its ready to display or as an amazing gift.
The gray spots you see on the lantern are lead used to weld the lantern together.

Measures, 4 ½” tall, reflector is 4" diameter.
Condition, Amazing condition. Lamp has a couple small dings, one in back at base, one in front behind reflector.
