Thank you for viewing our Store,

We have for sale an Antique Masters Little Giant Plant Setter, Tobacco Planter
Wonderful find in the heart of tobacco country Tennessee. This Tobacco Setter was made by the Joseph H. Masters of Chicago, IL.
Tobacco plants are started in a greenhouse then transferred into the fields to mature and be harvested like tomato plants. This planter is designed to plant and water at the same time. You place the plant into the smaller tub and fill the larger tub with water, you force the planter into the cultivated soil push down on the handle and water button and a starter plant would drop out and water would flow out to fill around the new plant, quite ingenious.
The planter is made of metal with a brass badge that reads,
Masters Little Giant Plant Setter Pat. Jan. 10, 1899 – Dec.3, 1914 Chicago ILL.

US patent # 617403
Circa, 1899-1914
Marked, Masters Little Giant Plant Setter
Measures, 31” tall, 9 ½” wide at top.
Condition, Rustic with dents and dings, but still functions.
