Thank you for viewing our Store,
We have for sale an Antique Dog Tooth Straight Pull Corkscrew
Wonderful find this mid to late 1800s Dog Tooth Corkscrew. This is a unique corkscrew equip with a couple special features, made with a turned steel shaft and wooden handle.
The top of the shaft attaches through the center of the wood handle with a hanging loop at the top.
Midway down the shaft is a Dog Tooth Easer. When the corkscrew is inserted fully into the cork and the easer meets the cork it turns the cork breaking the seal the cork has with the bottle, thus making the removal of the cork much easier.
Below the easer is the Worm (corkscrew) this particular worm is known as a Bladed Worm, due to its design. A bladed worm is cut or forged from steel and has a solid center core, the outer edge of the blade is ground sharp which makes inserting the corkscrew into the cork very easer. Will make a very nice addition to your collection.
