Singer 221 Featherweight Sewing Machine, Precision Sewing

We have for sale a vintage Singer 221-1 portable featherweight sewing machine and carrying case. Serial # AM183644. The machine badge was issued on March 25, 1955, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, instruction book and attachments are all in very good vintage condition. We’ve had several machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The case is in very good vintage condition showing minor wear, consistent with age and use.
This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim. The original foot pedal still makes the motor hum. The locking carrying case is also in very nice condition with original hardware, handle. The Canvas Case Cover is an original 1950s Singer 221 travel case cover, made of very heavy canvas with zippers on both sides and metal button feet on bottom, a very rare find.

Overall condition of the machine is very good runs and operates wonderfully and only has light wear from use on sewing bed, light scuffs and scratches.
Case has NO KEY but opens and the clasps work smoothly, shows light wear from use and age but very structurally solid, no issues.
