We have for sale a 1949 David White Surveyors Transit with wooden tripod and carry case.
Wonderful find this 1949 field surveyors’ transit and tripod made by the David White Company of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
The transit is made of solid brass with telescoping eye piece and lens, with level under the scope. Comes with wooden tripod carry case with brass plumb bob and sunshield for lens.
This will make a wonderful display item in your home office or cabin, perfect gift for that engineer in the family.

Measures, 12” long, 7 ¾” tall without tripod
Condition, very good vintage condition with some plating lose and scuffs from use. Lens has lines between layers of glass. Case has surface rust on outside missing a couple rubber cushion feet on bottom but very strong and sturdy, Tripod is weathered but solid and sturdy.
