Antique Advertising Bullet for Old Fosters Whiskey with Hidden Corkscrew

Sorry, this item has sold.

Thank you for viewing our Store,

We have for sale an Antique Advertising Bullet for Old Fosters Whiskey with Hidden Corkscrew.
Wonderful find this turn of the century 1900s Bullet Shaped advertising corkscrew for the Brown & Forman Company makers of Old Fosters Whiskey of Louisville Kentucky.
The corkscrew was made by the Williamson Company of Newark New Jersey and patented September 4, 1900.
Unscrew the bullet and fold out the hidden corkscrew, screw the bottle back together to form a handle for the corkscrew.
Why a corkscrew for whiskey? The bottle cap was not invented until the late 1800s by the Crown Cork Co. Baltimore and not highly used until into the early 1900s. Before the cap was introduced most all bottles had corks including Medicines, Perfumes and Alcohol.
Condition, the nickel-plated finish on the bullet end has a little wear, but you must consider its 120 years old.

Circa, 1900s
Measures; 3” long, 5/8” diameter.
Marked, Williamson Co. Pat. Sep. 4, 1900
Condition, very nice condition with wear on finish with scuffs and scratches.
Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
Photo Props not included in sale.
