We have for sale an Antique French Bottle Corker
Wonderful old piece of wine history this French Boucheuse Record (Record capper) Bottle Corker. Made of brass and steel with a copper feed bowl and red painted wood handles. Marked at the base Boucheuse Record, Breveté S.G.D.G.
If you look at the mechanics of this little machine it is very Incredible complex, the bowl at the top holds the corks you pull the tall handle down which drops a cork down a tub in the center of the machine, you raise the handle back up which transfers the cork under the plunger which is operated by the shorter handle, pull down the plunger handle to insert the cork into the wine bottle.
This will make a wonderful display piece for your wine room or cellar.

Breveté SGDG was a French type of patent implemented in 1844 that ceased to exist in 1968

Measures, 22” tall, 7” bowl diameter.
Condition, wonderful vintage condition, we have included a picture showing a split on one wood handle and rust on metal sleeve on wood handle.
Untested sold as is.
