We have for sale a 1957 Keuffel & Esser Surveyors Transit
Wonderful Surveyors Transit made by Keuffel & Esser Company of New York. We believe this is a Model 5131 transit, it has a serial number 150346, the wood case also has a matching serial number printed on the inside label.
The transit is in beautiful used condition with minor paint wear from use, the telescoping sight adjust freely with focusing knob and the eyepiece focuses with focusing ring easily, the sight is clear. The compass locks and unlocks easily and the compass works and is accurate. All the level vials are in good working condition. All the knobs, clamp screws, leveling screws and tangent screw tighten and loosen easily.
The case is original leather pouches attached to the inside of the door with foldout magnifying glass and sunshade lens cover.
We have lightly cleaned the transit and made sure everything functions properly.

Condition, very nice condition selling AS IS. The case is badly worn.
