We have for sale a Two Vintage Clear Glass Storage Bottle with Glass Lids and Wire Bails made by the Wheaton Glass Co. of Millville, NJ.
These are industrial laboratory storage jars with glass lids and wire bails measure 2 ½” diameter at base and 5 ¼” tall.
History,
Founded in 1888 by Dr. Theodore Corson Wheaton, it became a mainstay of the economy of southern New Jersey, which gained a reputation as the leader in pharmaceutical glass manufacturing in the United States. The company was run by the Wheaton family for nearly its entire existence, and at its height it had 41 factories throughout the United States and subsidiaries in 20 other countries. Many of its vintage products continue to be collector items.
