Antique 1890s Club House Whiskey Corkscrew, Whiskey Collectibles
Wonderful and Rare 1890s corkscrew. This is an interesting one, the corkscrew it’s self was made by the Williamson’s Company of Newark NJ. The advertising on the corkscrew handle was from the Martin Shaughnessy & Company of St. Louis Missouri for his Club House Whiskies.
Martin Shaughnessy an Irish immigrant who settled in St. Louis started his distillery at a very young age. His flagship Whiskey was “Club House Whiskey,” which he trademarked in 1888 and again in 1905.
Nice web page about Club House Whiskies.
