We have for sale an Antique Maddock & Sons Apothecary Mortar and Pestle
Wonderful find this 1890s Mortar and Pestle made by Thomas Maddock & Sons of Trenton N.J.
This is a #4 porcelain mortar and embossed with the makers mark TH&S Maddock & Sons Co. WARRANTED TM&S ACID PROOF on the base. The Pestle is also made of porcelain with a wood handle and marked #4, this is a matching set.
This set is in amazing condition and will make a wonderful gift for a Medical Graduate or as an Apothecary Collectible.
Circ, 1890s
Marked, TH&S Maddock & Sons
Measures, Mortar = 4 ¼” tall, 7 ½” diameter on outside of top rim.
Pestle = 8 ½” long.
Condition, very good no chips or cracks, some light staining on porcelain as shown.
