Advertising Corkscrew Paul A Henckels San Pellegrino Mineral Water, Antique Corkscrew, Italian Advertising Corkscrew.
Wonderful find this one-lever or waiters style advertising corkscrew made by Paul A. Henckels of Solingen Germany, not to be mistaken for J.A. Henckels (Johann Abraham Henckels) of Solingen Germany. The corkscrew is made of steel with brass overlay case on both sides. The corkscrew is known as a bladed worm design which is sharp on the outer edge allowing it to cut through the cork with ease.
This corkscrew was featured in the 1999 book, Bull's Pocket Guide to Corkscrews, page123.

The corkscrew has advertising on both sides of the case, written in Italian.

The company S. Pellegrino is an Italian natural mineral water brand started in 1899, owned by the company SanPellegrino and recently purchased by the conglomerate which is part of Swiss company Nestlé in 1997. S. Pellegrino mineral water has been produced for over 620 years.

Measures, 4 1/4" long.
Condition, vintage with some wear on case and pitting on opener area.
