We have for sale a vintage Singer 221-1 portable featherweight sewing machine and carrying case. Serial # AL199711. The machine badge was issued on December 12, 1952, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, instruction book and attachments are all in good vintage condition. We’ve had several machines in the last few years and this one purrs. The case is in good vintage condition showing wear, consistent with age and use.
This is a very nice machine finished in that classic deep gorgeous shiny black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim. Please see all photos as they are part of the item’s description.
We have thoroughly cleaned and serviced this machine and replaced any worn or faulty parts. Parts replaced, electrical cord. In December this machine will be 70 years old.
Our shipping charge includes meticulous packing to ensure no damage occurs during transit. Every shipment we have done has arrived undamaged even as far away as Alaska.

Overall Condition of the MACHINE, runs and operates smoothly, has wear from use on sewing bed, scuffs, and scratches, paint chips (as shown in pictures). The instruction manual is a copy of an original manual.
CASE, very nice condition, clasps work smoothly, very structurally solid.

The sewing machine and case are in pristine condition. It was safely wrapped in several layers of packing so it arrived safely. I was able to take it out of the wrapping, thread it, and begin to sew. The machine exceeded my expectations and was in better condition than I anticipated.
