We have for sale an Antique C. L. Berger & Sons Surveyors Transit
Wonderful Surveyors Transit Land Transit made by the C. L. Berger & Sons Company of Boston, Massachusetts. Serial number 5688 dates this transit between 1906-1907.
The transit is made of solid brass with an eight-inch horizontal level underneath the scope. The scope is telescoping, by turning the large knob at the top of the transit the scope extends out the front up to two inches, the overall length is 19¾” and weigh an impressive 11.2 pounds. The sight is very clear and adjusts freely. The transit was originally finished in black, some of the black finish remains in spots.
This beautiful transit will make an amazing display piece or gift.

Measure, 19¾” x 4½” x 8 ½” tall.
Condition, extremely nice condition. Lens couple small external scratches.
