Wonderful Large Format Dry Plate Camera made by the Gundlach-Manhattan Optical Co., Rochester, New York, NY.
The lens on this camera was made by Bausch Lomb Optical Company it is a Rapid Rectilinear model.
The camera is made of a Red Mahogany wood frame construction, the brass hardware is finished in a bright nickel finish and the green rubber coated bellows are in wonderful condition and very flexible.
To focus the camera, you adjust the rack and pinion bellows slide to extend or retract the lens, also raise, or lower the lens at the front and adjust the photo box at different angles to view. Comes with two reversible dry plates.
The measurements, folding base extends to 24½” long and 7” wide. With bellows extended to a full 19” between wood frames.
Overall measures 10 ½” wide, 11” tall, 24½” fully open and 6” collapsed.
This will make a stunning display piece or a wonderful addition to your collection.
