We have for sale a Don Ricardo Decorative Horse Bit
Wonderful and Rare find this decorative horse bit made by Don Ricardo of Denver Colorado. The bit still has its original sales tag from H. W. Starr Saddle Shop of Oakland California with original sale price (not our selling price). The bit has wonderful side shank decorative etching and concho buttons. Bit is made of lightweight aluminum and coated nickel silver finish it has a has a 5″ mouthpiece width, full shank length 8½”
This bit is marked with the Ricardo signature. This one is most definitely collector worthy.

History,
The Ricardo Metal Manufacturers company started making spurs and tack in the 1930s in Denver, Colorado and then Victoria, Texas.


Circa, 1960-70s
Measures, 8 ½” x 6”
Condition, as shown with light scuffs.
