We have for sale an August Buermann Star Steel Silver Line Horse Bit
Wonderful and Rare find this decorative horse bit made by the August Buermann. Bit has a 5″ mouthpiece width, full shank length 8”
This bit is marked with the August Buermann Star, but it does not have the AB inside the star which dates it post 1926, after North and Judd purchased the company.

August Buermann (1842-1928) immigrated to the US from Germany in 1864 and enlisted with the US Army. He fought in the Civil War, in 1866 Buermann purchased a company and started making his own spurs. In 1926, North and Judd Tack Company bought the Buermann company.
