Antique Dexter Cigar Tuck Cutter and Rolling Board, Tobacciana

Thank you for viewing our Store,

We have for sale an Antique Dexter Cigar Tuck Cutter,
Rare and hard to find Cigar Tuck Cutter and Rolling Board made by the Harrington (Dexter) Cutlery Company of Southbridge Mass. This is a very rare find the cutter and board still together.
*The Cutter is still very sharp and has the tobacco residue on it. A Tuck Cutter was used to cut the length of the cigar after it was rolled. You would have simply set the cigar in the groove on the wood base and press down on the cutter arm. The top of the wood base is marked with measurements 3” to 6” with a steel adjustable sliding stop to set the cigar length.
** The Rolling board is fabulous it is made of end cut Honduras Mahogany which is held together with three 14” long carriage bolts that run through the middle of the wood the entire width. The board is heavily stained from the tobacco leaves and was used so much that the surface is indented from where the cigars were rolled, the board was turned over and used on both sides, the bottom shows more indentation from rolling the cigars.
If you have ever been to Tampa FL and had the opportunity to stroll down 7th Ave in Ybor City, you would have seen these used still today.

Circa, 1900-20s
Measures, board 13¾” x 9½” x 1 ¾” thick. Cutter 7½” x 3”
Condition, all original to our knowledge.
Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
