1800s Tobacco Plug Cutter
Wonderful 1800s Tobacco Plug Cutter made of cast iron with steel cutting blade and marked in raised lettering (Collins Co.) on the cutting blade housing and (Arrow) on the base. You would have found these in mercantile and tobacco shops across America in the late 1800 bolted down to the countertop for cutting plug tobacco for customers.
The condition is all original and untouched, perfect for restoration.
Circa, 1880-1900
Measures, 18 ¼” long, 4 ½” wide, 6 ¾” tall.
Condition, the original paint is mostly gone, and it has surface rust, small chips in cutting blade.
