Antique Pair of Authentic Wooden Snowshoes with Leather Bindings
Wonderful authentic wood snowshoes from the early 1900s. The bent wood frames are in amazing condition with no splits or cracks the finish on the wood has a wonderful rich patina, and the original rawhide webbing looks very good. The leather bindings are original for the period with leather laces and brass eyelets, the bindings have brass rivets holding the sides together, this really helps date these to.
Circa, 1900-1920s
Measures, 9 ½” wide, 45” Long.
Condition, very good for age, very solid all original no cracks in the wood, there is one spot on the rawhide webbing that is damaged as shown in pictures, leather bindings are old and show some wear.
