Prohibition Era Hootch Hound Corkscrew
Pull the hounds tail to reveal a hidden corkscrew. The hidden corkscrew is steel, and hounds’ body and tail are made of solid brass.
The Hootch Hound came in a couple different colors and styles Solid brass and chrome plated versions some had a bottle opener,
instead of a tail and some were unmarked.
The most sought after is this Prohibition Era version with the Hootch Hound name and the tail.

These were made by the Weidlich Brothers Manufacturing Company, who operated in Bridgeport, Connecticut from 1901 until the 1950s

This highly collectible piece was featured in the 1999 Bull's Corkscrew Book page 152.

Measures, 4 1/2" long, 2" tall.
Condition, very nice with minor wear.
