1953 Singer 221 featherweight sewing machine with carry case, fully cleaned, and serviced Serial Number AL411105.
The machine badge was issued on May 4, 1953, and was manufactured in Elizabethsport, NJ, USA. It has an original 110-volt motor and beautiful chrome trim. The machine, case, and attachments are all in good vintage condition.
This is a nice machine finished in that classic deep black featherweight paint, gold decals and chrome trim. Please see all photos as they are part of the item’s description.
**We have thoroughly cleaned and serviced this machine and replaced any worn or faulty parts. New electrical cord, New LED light bulb.

Overall Condition,
MACHINE, runs and operates smoothly, does show light wear for age, sewing bed shows scuffs, and scratches, paint chips and paint touchup at base and flywheel, (as shown in pictures).
CASE, is very nice condition some wear on corners but very structurally solid, some scuffs as shown.

A note about buying a vintage sewing machine. As a buyer of old sewing machines, I’ve learned the hard way, any machine that is coated in dust, dirt and mold has most likely not been used in decades. The grease and oils are likely all dried up and if used could damage parts, like motors, gears, and bearings. Videos are nice but only if they show the machine sewing and show the stitch pattern. Just some friendly advice.
