Beautiful and Rare 3-gallons stoneware butter churn crock with blue cobalt label made by Red Wing Union Stoneware Co. of Red Wing Minnesota.
During the 1906 merger of Union Pottery, Red Wing Pottery and Minnesota Pottery, the Logos and Stamps used were intermingled. This Butter Churn has the Union Pottery Birch Leaf Design along with the 1st Oval used by Red Wing / Union Pottery after the merger.

History,
The Oval Logo at the bottom is believed to be the 1st Oval design used by Red Wing / Union Pottery after the merger. This oval was thought to have been used on Red Wing Stoneware up to 1915.
The butter crock is in wonderful condition with normal manufacturing blemishes, the inner rim where the lid rests, has a few tiny chips, the lid has a hairline crack as shown in pictures.

Circa, 1906-09.
Measurements, 13¾” tall without lid, 10” diameter at top rim, weighs 15.6 pounds.
