Antique 1920s White Hall S. P. & S. Co, 1-Gallon Stoneware Crock.
Wonderful One-Gallon Stoneware Crock made by the S. P. & S. Co. of White Hall Illinois. S. P. & S. Co is the abbreviation for the White Hall Sewer Pipe and Stoneware Company White Hall Ill.

History,
The White Hall S. P. & S. Co made thousands of crocks sized from quart to 10-gallon size jugs and jars and all were hand spun on kick wheels operated by skillful turners, the company was in business between 1825 and 1946.

Marked, S. P. & S. Co.
Measurements, 7½” tall, 7¾” diameter at top rim, weighs 5.5-pounds.
Condition, Very good with no cracks, has a couple chips on bottom edge (shown in pictures). Has the normal manufacturing blemishes.
