Wonderful find this pair of 19th century Chilean Huaso Spurs.
The spurs have a magnificent 4½” round rowel with 42 long spikes, the overall length of each spur is 8¾” long. Just a stunning piece of history.
These are original 1800s spur not a remake from the 2000s, each weighing in at 1½ pounds. They Yoke and Shank are made of silver-plated brass and the large rowels are made of silver-plated steel.
These extra-large rowels make an amazing (bell ringing) sound as they spin.

River Rat Antiques sold me a gorgeous pair of antique Huacho horse riding spurs. There was a slight mix up on the receiving address. This was overcome. The 100+ year old spurs were in excellent condition for their age and as the seller had advertised. I am very pleased with the purchase and the minor events surrounding it. Yes, I would buy from them again based on this transaction. FH.
