Antique Solar Carbide Bicycle lamp
Wonderful turn of the 19th Century Bicycle lamp made by The Badger Brass Manufacturing Company of Kenosha Wisconsin. The lamp is made of nickel-plated brass with a clear glass front lens and red and blue glass jewel side lights. The bottom of the lamp has patent dates, the latest being June 15th, 1899.
The lamp appears to be complete with burner and reflector, plus the carbine container has the internal parts, and has the original mounting clamp to attach to the bicycle.
Please remember this is a bicycle lamp. It was on the front of someone’s bicycle at the beginning of the 1900s, it does have a couple dings, scuffs, and finish lose. We have lightly cleaned the lantern; it could still use some deep cleaning.
We have included in our pictures a page from an early 1900s magazine showing this lamp.

Measures, 7” tall, 5” depth, front lens diameter is 3 3/8”.
