Antique Edwardian British Copper Oil Lamp
Wonderful piece of history, this Edwardian Era Copper Fount Kerosene Lamp. Designed to hang on a wall bracket or sit on the table, the pivoting handle is for carrying. The lamp is in amazing condition for its age, found in a small remote town in Wyoming. The fount or tank is made of copper with an inner baffle to keep the fuel from sloshing around if carried, the top of the fount is metal with two copper dome anchors for the handle posts. The Coronet style burner is made of brass and marked English Made. The amber colored Chimney is beautiful with bubbles and lines in the glass very typical for the era. On the backside of the fount is a rectangle shaped piece this is the built-in hanging slot to hang the lamp on the wall, (wall mount hanger is not included). After hours of matriculas cleaning it ready to be seen again. There is not a wick in the lamp. This is an amazing and rare lamp not often seen.
Circa, 1900-1910
