Antique Apothecary Cork Press
The Gypsy Cork Press, this cast-iron hand tool would have been found at local Pharmacy and Drug stores across America at the turn of the 20th century.
The press has four different sizing’s for corks ¼” to 1” diameter.

Cork Presses were used throughout the 1800s and early 1900s you would have found them in Pharmacy’s and Drug stores across America.
You lift the handle and place a wet cork into the press by pushing the handle down, the cork would compress to the size bottle you needed it to fit.

Measures, press=11½” long. Base= 13” x 3½” wide.
Condition, very good condition, no structural damage, has some paint wear on handle and base.
