Antique Apothecary Cork Press
The Gypsy Cork Press, a cast-iron hand tool, was found in local pharmacies and Drug stores across America at the turn of the 20th century.
The press has four different sizes for corks ¼” to 1” in diameter.
Lift the handle and place a wet cork into the press, then push the handle down; the cork compresses to the size of the bottle you need it to fit.
Circa: 1900s
Measures, press=11½” long. Base= 13” x 3½” wide.
Condition: very good; no structural damage; some paint wear on the handle and base.
