Antique 1800s Backsaw, J D Darlington 12-inch Backsaw
Wonderful find, this 1870s John D Darlington Backsaw.
The J D Darlington where actually produced by the Harvey W. Peace Company of Brooklyn, N.Y.
The J D Darlington line of saw was the second line made by Harvey W. Peace.
Key features of the saw are a saw nut through the spine of the blade and union bolts holding the handle to the blade.
This is a 12” Backsaw with 11-tpi. (teeth per inch).

Circa, 1870-80s
Measures, 16¼” long with handle.
Condition, fair.
