Vintage PeDe Dienes Box Coffee Grinder, Model 530 Coffee Mill.
Wonderful German made box coffee grinder, made by Peter Dienes of
West Germany (PeDe is a synonym for Peter)
This is a slim version of their grinder, which was designed to take up less counter space, measures only 2½” wide.
Made of Hardwood maple with chrome plated metal hopper cap, the pull-out catch drawer is made of tin with a wood drawer front.
We have cleaned the grinder inside and out. It is fully adjustable, to set the bean grind to fine or coarse, pull the drawer out, look inside the box, you will see a lever at the base of the grinder tighten it for a fine grind or loosen for a course grind, ready to use.
Circa, 1950s
Measures, 2 ½” wide, 5½” depth, excluding crank handle, 7½” tall with handle.
Condition, box has scuffs on wood, and the hopper lid has scuffs, as shown.
