1940s KAYanEE, SEW MASTER Child’s Sewing Machine.
Exquisite and Rare style KAYanEE SEW MASTER sewing machine in a vivid bright red. Made in Berlin Germany, US-Zone.
It is a hand operated manually machine (no fast-moving parts for little fingers). This size of machine was not a toy as they were designed for children to learn how to sew - perfect size for making doll clothes.
This is a special one, with its detachable sewing bed extension, which adds 3¾” length to the sewing bed, also has a pull-out storage drawer. The machine comes with clip-on bed extension, hold-down clamp, instruction manual and original box. Machine is made of metal and attached to a white maple wood base. It works wonderfully and will make the best gift or that perfect addition for your collection.
History,
The KAYanEE Corporation of America had these machines made in West Germany in the US Occupied Zone of Berlin 1945, right after WWII, this was to help reestablish manufacturing in war torn Germany.
They were manufactured by F.W. Muller Co. for KAYanEE and distributed in the USA. The Muller Co. closed in 1979.

Marked on the needle plate, BERLIN, Made in Germany, US-Zone.
Measures, 6 ½” tall, 4¾” depth, 12” long with extension.
Condition, exceptional, box is lightly worn and has writing on it from a child, instructions are torn and wrinkled.

The little sewing machine arrived today safe and sound on this snowy windy day here in Wisconsin. It is in excellent condition and even included the history about it. Thank you so much. Was well packaged and even arrived early. Very happy with my purchase.
