Western Spurs by Oscar Crockett, Cowboy Spurs
Wonderful Oscar Crockett Western Spurs. These are aluminum spurs with silver capped strap buttons.
The spurs are both marked (Crockett) on the bottom edge. The heel-bands has about a 3” spread, with a 2-¼” shank carrying a 1-5/8” diameter with eight-point star Rowel with rounded tips.
The straps are marked with the number 19, Shipley, they are very worn.
History,
One of the better-known names when it comes to antique and vintage western spurs. Oscar Crockett Spurs have been around since the 1920s starting in Kansas City, Oscar passed away in 1949. Oscar’s wife Hazel continued to operate the company until 1951 when she sold it to James Renalde which branded the spurs (CR) Crockett-Renalde, the company finally closed in the 1980s.

Condition, very nice condition, couple scuffs and scratches from use, we have lightly cleaned.
