Red Wing Union Stoneware KO-REC Chicken Feeder.
Wonderful find this antique stoneware chicken feeder made by the Red Wing Union Stoneware of Red Wing Minnesota. Yes, this was made by the same company that makes those lovely Red Wing Crocks.
This is all original and in very nice condition, it is a two-piece feeder with a folding wire bail style handle at the top, the top portion sits loosely on the base which allows the feed to fall into the base section, it works on gravity. Overall condition is extremely nice considering it is a utilitarian piece used in the hen house. There are NO cracks and only one tiny chip on the edge of the base, and it has the normal manufacturing blemishes.

Special Note, this is a pre-patented version feeder, the feeder was patented in the 1930s, U.S. patent number 1,783,780.
This feeder reads, Red Wing Union Stoneware Co.
The later Patented version feeders read, The Red Wing Potteries Inc.

Circa, pre-1930s.
Marked, KO-REC Feeder.
Measurements, 10¼” tall, 10” diameter at base, weighs 8 pounds.
Please see all pictures as they are part of the description.
