Wonderful Blue Globe Railroad Lantern made by the Adams & Westlake (Adlake) Company of Chicago ILL. The lantern was made for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad. (C.M.ST. P & P). Lantern is marked on bottom 3-48 meaning it was manufactured March 1948.
The lantern is known as a short globe Adlake Kero lantern it has a Adlake 300 burner.
The blue globe is marked Adlake Kero in raised lettering. The blue lantern was used for marking Rail Cars that were not to be moved. It was on boxcars or locomotives, which were being worked on.

Circa, 19408
Measures, 9 ½” tall with handle down, 6” diameter at base.
Condition, metal was repainted at some point, globe is in wonderful condition with some tiny chips on rim.
