Antique Casige Sewing Machine Made in Germany.
It is a fully functional sewing machine designed to teach young children how to sew. The machine has art deco / tole style graphics in red, green, and gold on black. Made completely of stamped metal painted and chrome finish on most moving parts. The machine uses a single thread which creates a chain stitch pattern. We are unable to get this machine to work properly selling, as is.
Adorable display piece for a crafter or child’s room!
History Note,
Carl Sieper of Gevelsberg Germany named his machines Casige from the first 2 letters of his first and last names and the town he lived in. He made toy sewing machines from 1902 to 1975. The Art Deco period of the late 1920’s inspired him to paint his machines which are very collectable now.
