Antique Victorian Era Coatrack
A One-of-a-kind Treasure. This oak wood Coatrack was originally a topper for a Sideboard Cabinet from the Victorian era. It was saved and re-purposed as a spectacular one-of-a-kind Coatrack / Hatrack.
Made of solid oak with hand carved overlay trim work and the laughing jester sticking out his tongue is made of a fibrous plaster. The four double coat hooks are antique and made of steel.
I can't say enough about this piece, it is wonderful, and you will never see another one like it.
I had originally purchased this for my own personal collection, and now have decided to offer it for sale.
Circa, 1860-1880
Measures, 43¾” wide, 13 ¼” tall and protrudes from the wall 4”.
Condition, Antique and Old has wear. Plaster face has a couple cracks although strong and sturdy.
Wood carving has chips and dings, it is OLD. The hanging hooks on the backside are questionable and may need changed out.
