Antique 1902-04 Eastman Kodak No. 2A Brownie Model B. Wood Box Camera
Wonderful and rare early version of the Brownie No.2A Wood Box camera made by the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester NY.
The 1902 No.2 Brownie is significant in that it was the first camera to use 120 roll film. It also was the first year of the fixed pull-out winding key, predecessors had a removable key. In 1904 the Model B; fine grain leatherette covering was replaced by coarser grain, and metal grommets fitted to lens and finder windows. The Brownie No.2A Model B used a 120-roll film that Picture size: 2¼” X 3¼”
To open the camera, unlock top and side swivel locks, turn the film winder counterclockwise as you pull the winder knob outward. This will release the internal lock.
Overall condition, camera has all its interior parts, has minor scuffs on the exterior leather, and the top handle strap is frail.
Circa, 1902-04.
Measures, 6¼” x 5¼” x 3½”.
