We have for sale a charming 1940s Singer Sewhandy the traditional Black and Gold Finish, Model No. 20.
This is a beautiful little sewing machine made by Singer. This is a fully Functional Hand Crank Sewing Machine in toy size.
Originally patented in 1910 and manufactured until 1975, these were known as the most popular toy sewing machines ever made. This is the 1940s model which has the traditional thinner base column, and it still uses the same mechanics as its predecessor of 1910. It operates smoothly.
The thread running is simple on this machine with all the parts numbered 1 through 6 and down to the needle. In 1926 they added threading number stamps 1 through 6, this machine dated post 1926.
The condition is very clean with only a few very minor scuffs and scratches in the finish, a true heirloom.
The machine is sold AS IS, machine comes with hold down clamp. Fabric guild and one extra needle.
Will make a wonderful addition to your collection or as a memorial gift.
Fun Fact, these machines were originally made as a fully functional toy, but later advertising sold it as a mini portable sewing machine for adults.
