We have for sale Vintage Rare 1940s Syroco Wood Corkscrew, Old Codger Figural. Stained Walnut Finish
Measures 8.5” tall and has a nice straight bladed worm
Condition is very good, some light stain wear, no chips, cracks or any other damage
Made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco) of Syracuse, New York they are made up of a composition of wood powder and thermoset resin set up in a compression mold, these were believed to have been made between1940-1950. Some of the figures were painted while others were stained with a walnut finish.
The steel corkscrew and bells were supplied by Williamson Company of Newark, New Jersey.
