We have for sale an Set of 10 Antique Petal Bells, Brass Sleigh Bells, Vintage Sleigh Bells.
These were a wonderful find from the Dale Hollow Kentucky area; you would have heard these ringing through the snow covered mountains 150 years ago.
They have not been cleaned at all, the 10 bells are all numbered, there are six #9s, three #11s and one #13.
They measure #9s = 2 1/4” in diameter, #11s = 2 5/8” diameter, #13 = 2 ¾”
The bells are all solid brass with years of weathered patina, the leather strap is 42” long, and has been replaced at some point, the bells are very secure in the strap.
The sound is wonderful, with the three different sized bells, has that true Christmas sound.
The overall condition is good 100% vintage, with wonderful patina; some of the bells have fractures but are in solid condition.
You can choose to leave the decades of patina on them or polish them, either way the sound is truly vintage.
