Antique Whitall Tatum Company No.10 Nickel Plated Champagne Tap
Nice example of a late 1800s Champagne Tap, manufactured by the Whitall Tatum Company of New York and Boston USA. Patented in 1885, made of nickel-plated brass.
How to use: Leaving wire fastening intact, using small gimlet tool bore a hole nearly through the cork, insert the tap and screw through the cork. Carefully invert the bottle so the gas moves away from the cork, slowly open the tap.
Circa, late 1800s
Measures, 5” long, 2¼” wide at handle.
Condition, untested. Wear on finish.
